NY Red Bulls defeated Inter Miami CF in a win on Saturday, 3x1, on matchweek 3. To this matchday, Gerhard Struber's team came from a draw, and Phil Neville's team came from two wins.
The first goal of the game was scored by Gonzalo Higuaín, after 19 minutes. In the 29th minute, Alejandro Pozuelo left the game early after seeing a red card. Shortly before the interval, Lewis Morgan struck for NY Red Bulls, laid on by John Tolkin.
