Metz defeated Lorient in a close win on Sunday, 2x3, on to matchday 13 of the Ligue 1. Coming into the contest, Régis Le Bris's team came from a defeat, and Laszlo Bölöni's team came from a win.
The first goal was scored by Cheikh Sabaly early in the game. In the 7th minute, Romain Faivre fired home for Lorient. After 22 minutes, Junior Kroupi struck the second goal for Régis Le Bris's team.
With 65 minutes on the clock, Ismaël Traoré fired home Metz second goal. With 83 minutes on the clock, Ablie Jallow wrapped things up, from the penalty spot.
After the result Metz are 9th in the table, with 16 points, while Lorient sit 16th place, with 11 points. In relation to forthcoming league matches, Laszlo Bölöni's team visit Lille, whilst Régis Le Bris's team will play away against Toulouse.
