Al-Ahly edged out TP Mazembe, 3-0, on Friday, in a match relating to the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League. The first leg fixture ended in a 0-0 draw.
The first-half ended with a goalless draw.
The first goal was scored by Mohamed Abdelmonem with 68 minutes on the clock. After 83 minutes, Al-Ahly extended their lead with a goal from Wessam Abou. With 90 minutes already on the clock, Ahmed Abdelkader saw a red card after receiving his second yellow Akram Tawfik netted the last goal in stoppage time.
With this result, Al-Ahly are into the next round of the competition.
