Urartu lose out to Shirak

Shirak defeated Urartu in a close win on Saturday, 1-0, relating to matchweek 23 of the Armenian League. In this competition, Arsen Hovhannisyan's team came from a defeat, and Dmitry Gunko's team came from two draws.

The first half came to an end without goals.

In the 55th minute, Mory Kone scored Shirak's only goal of the game. In the closing stages of the game, Urartu saw Leon Sabua miss a penalty.

After the result Urartu are 4th in the table, with 36 points, while Shirak sit 9th place, with 19 points. In the next fixture, Arsen Hovhannisyan's team will host Alashkert FC, whilst Dmitry Gunko's team will play at home against West Armenia.
