Lazio edge past Bologna

Lazio defeated Bologna in a close win on Sunday, 2x1, on matchweek 1. Both Maurizio Sarri's team and Sinisa Mihaijlovic's team played their first game in the competition.

In the 6th minute, Lazio saw Luís Maximiano get a straight red card after 38 minutes, Marko Arnautovic opened the scoring for Bologna, from the penalty spot. In the 45th minute, Sinisa Mihaijlovic's team saw Adama Soumaoro get sent off due to accumulation of yellows.

In an unfortunate moment Lorenzo De Silvestri scored an own goal with 68 minutes on the clock. Ciro Immobile scored the winner after 79 minutes with a left-foot shot inside the box.

After the result Lazio are 9th in the table, with 3 points, while Bologna sit 12th place, with 0 points. In relation to forthcoming league matches, Maurizio Sarri's team visit Torino. Meanwhile, Sinisa Mihaijlovic's team will play at home against Hellas Verona.
