Rio Ave beat Benfica B

Rio Ave triumphed over Benfica B, 2x1, on Sunday, in the 30th round. Before this Matchday, Vila do Conde's team came from a defeat, and encarnados came from a draw.

After 18 minutes, Benfica B saw António Oliveira expelled with a direct red card with 18 minutes on the clock, Amine Oudrhiri left his team with 10-man, after seeing a direct red card.  Tiago Gouveia opened the score after 29 minutes, through a header. Shortly before the interval, António Oliveira's team saw Pedro Álvaro get sent off due to accumulation of yellows.

In the 54th minute, Joca struck for Rio Ave, with a left-foot strike inside the penalty area, assisted by Gabrielzinho.  Guga Rodrigues netted the last goal in the closing stages of the game with a right-foot strike inside the box.

After the result Rio Ave is 1st in the table, 60 points, while Benfica B occupy 5th place, 51 points. With regard to the next fixture, Luís Freire's team visit CD Mafra. Meanwhile, encarnados will host Académico de Viseu.
