Rio Grande Valley defeat Monterey Bay

Rio Grande Valley beat Monterey Bay, 1x2, on Saturday, in a match relating to the Grp.A of USL Championship.

Sub Robert Coronado, in the 6th minute, changed the course of the game. After 20 minutes, Hugh Roberts opened the score for Monterey Bay, laid on by Robbie Crawford. With 42 minutes on the clock, Emilio Ycaza fired home for Rio Grande Valley. Robert Coronado netted the last goal with 45 minutes already played.

In the 71st minute, Frank Yallop's team saw Robbie Crawford get sent off due to accumulation of yellows.

With regard to the next fixture, Rio Grande Valley will play at home against San Diego Loyal, while Monterey Bay will play away against Louisville City.
