FC Sion emerge victorious against FC Lugano

FC Sion triumphed over FC Lugano, 2x3, on Sunday, on to matchday 1 of the Swiss Super League. Both Lugano's team and Sion's team played their first game in the competition. Noah Pacheco was decisive with 1 goal.

In an unlucky moment Fabio Daprelà scored an own goal shortly before the interval.

After 57 minutes, defender left the game early after seeing a red card. In the 59th minute, Dimitri Cavaré struck the second goal for FC Sion. In the 61st minute, Jonathan Sabbatini fired home for FC Lugano, assisted by Zan Celar. After 85 minutes, Sion's team increased their lead with a goal from Joel Schmied. After 88 minutes, Noah Pacheco netted the final goal of the game, laid on by Reto Ziegler.

After the result FC Sion are 2nd in the table, with 3 points, while FC Lugano sit 8th place, with 0 points. In relation to forthcoming league matches, Paolo Tramezzani's team will host Young Boys, whilst Mattia Croci-Torti's team will play away against Grasshoppers.
