Vélez Sarsfield defeated Talleres, 0x1, on Wednesday, in a match relating to the quarter-finals of the Copa Libertadores. Buenos Aires's team beat Córdoba's team, 3x2, in the first leg of the tie. Joel Soñora didn't leave the bench.

The first-half ended without any goals.

Sub Julián Fernández, after 64 minutes, changed the course of the game. With 79 minutes on the clock, forward scored the winning goal, assisted by Lucas Janson.
