Austin FC run out winners versus Sporting KC

Austin FC triumphed over Sporting KC in a very competitive win on Saturday, 4x3, on matchweek 3. In this competition, Austin's team came from a draw, and Kansas City, KS's team came from a win.

The opening goal was scored by Andreu Fontàs after 12 minutes. Sporting KC scored their second goal of the game through William Agade, in the 23rd minute. With 27 minutes on the clock, Jon Gallagher struck for Austin FC. After 40 minutes, Peter Vermes's team increased their lead with a goal from Johnny Russell from the penalty spot. With this goal, Johnny Russell reached the 25th goal of the season.

Sub Danny Hoesen, with 59 minutes on the clock, changed the course of the game. In the 63rd minute, Julio Cascante fired home Josh Wolff's team second goal. After 85 minutes, Danny Hoesen fired home for Austin's team, laid on by Felipe Martins. In stoppage time, Sebastián Driussi netted the final goal of the game.
