SKN St. Pölten move on to the next round of Women Champions League

SKN St. Pölten thumped Ljuboten, 7x0, on Thursday, in a match relating of the Women Champions League. Both Célia Brancão-Ribeiro's team and Dejan Saveski's team held their first game in the competition. Isabelle Meyer made a tremendous game.

Mária Mikolajová opened the score after 3 minutes. In the 5th minute, Mateja Zver fired home SKN St. Pölten second goal, assisted by Mária Mikolajová. With 12 minutes on the clock, Isabelle Meyer doubled the lead for Sankt Pölten's team.

With 49 minutes on the clock, Célia Brancão-Ribeiro's team increased their lead with a goal from midfielder. In a very unlucky moment, Sanja Ratkovic scored an own-goal after 52 minutes. In the final minutes of the game, SKN St. Pölten extended their lead with a goal from Lainie Fuchs. In stoppage time, Rita Schumacher wrapped things up.
