Sevilla edged out by Real Sociedad

Real Sociedad triumphed over Sevilla, 1x2, on Wednesday, in a game related to matchweek 14 of La Liga. In this competition, both teams came from a draw.

Alexander Sorloth opened the score after 20 minutes. With 28 minutes on the clock, Sevilla saw Ivan Rakitic get a straight red card after 34 minutes, Tanguy Nianzou left the game early after seeing a red card. In the 36th minute, Real Sociedad increased their lead with a goal from Brais Méndez. Rafa Mir netted the last goal shortly before the interval.

After the result Real Sociedad are 3rd in the table, with 26 points, while Sevilla sit 18th place, with 11 points. With regard to the next fixture, Imanol Alguacil's team will host Osasuna, whilst Jorge Sampaoli's team visit Celta de Vigo.
