Rennes crush Bordeaux's French Cup dreams

Rennes overcame Bordeaux, 1x2, on Saturday, in a match relating of the French Cup. Both David Guion's team and Bruno Génésio's team held their first game in the competition.

The first goal of the game was scored by Benjamin Bourigeaud, with a right-foot strike inside the penalty area, with 23 minutes on the clock. Shortly before the interval, Josh Maja fired home for Bordeaux, with a left-foot shot.

Jérémy Doku scored the winning goal in the 53rd minute with a left-foot shot inside the penalty box. In the 60th minute, Malcom Bokele left the game early after seeing a red card.

With this result, Rennes are into the next round of the competition.
