WAC progress at expense of Sundowns

Sundowns and WAC drew 2x2 in a match on Saturday, in a match relating to the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League. The first leg fixture ended in a 0x0 draw.

The first-half ended with a goalless draw.

The opening goal was scored by Themba Zwane with 50 minutes on the clock. In the 72nd minute, Ayoub El Amloud fired home for WAC. After 79 minutes, Peter Shalulile fired home Sundowns second goal. In an unlucky moment Mothobi Mvala scored an own goal after 83 minutes.

With this result, WAC are into the next round of the competition.
