Spain beat Peru 1-3 in the early hours of Tuesday morning, in their final preparation match before the start of the World Cup 2026, which kicks off on June 11.

Mikel Oyarzabal opened the scoring just two minutes into the game, turning a superb solo run into a goal with an unstoppable strike. Shortly after the half-hour mark, Pedri González took advantage of Ferran Torres' low cross to extend the lead.
In the second half, goalkeeper Pedro Gallese deflected a dangerous cross from Yéremy Pino into his own net, giving La Roja a commanding third goal in the match. In the 66th minute, Jairo Vélez appeared in a finishing position and pulled one back for Peru, with Marcos López providing a brilliant assist.
It is worth noting that the Spanish side have been drawn into Group H of the 2026 World Cup, alongside Saudi Arabia, Uruguay and Cape Verde.
