Crystal Palace edged out Newcastle, 2-1, on Sunday, on matchweek 32. To this matchweek, Oliver Glasner's team came from a draw, and Eddie Howe's team came from a defeat. Jean-Philippe Mateta made a tremendous game.
The first goal was scored by Will Osula after 43 minutes, with a left-foot strike. With his 5th goal of the season.
In the 80th minute, Jean-Philippe Mateta fired home for Crystal Palace, with a right-foot shot inside the penalty box. Forward scored the winning goal with 90 minutes on the clock from the penalty spot.
After the result Crystal Palace are 13th in the table, with 42 points, while Newcastle sit 14th place, with 42 points. In relation to forthcoming league matches, Oliver Glasner's team will play at home against West Ham, while Eddie Howe's team will host Bournemouth.
