MFK Karviná defeated Baník Ostrava, 2-1, on Tuesday, in a match relating to the semi-finals of the Czech Cup.
The first half came to an end without goals.
After 67 minutes, Pavel Kacor opened the scoring for MFK Karviná. With 74 minutes on the clock, Baník Ostrava saw Matej Chalus get a straight red card in the 82nd minute, MFK Karviná extended their lead with a goal from Kahuan Vinícius. Ondrej Kricfalusi netted the last goal in the final minutes of the game from the penalty spot.
Thanks to this result, MFK Karviná are through to the next round of the competition. In the next fixture, MFK Karviná will play against FK Jablonec.
