        U23 Premier League: Manchester City overcome Aston Villa

        Manchester City overcame Aston Villa in a close win on Friday, 2-3, in a match relating to the quarter-finals of the U23 Premier League.

        Bradley Burrowes opened the score after two minutes. With six minutes on the clock, Mahamadou Sangaré fired home for Manchester City.

        Aston Villa scored their second goal of the game through Luka Lynch, with 47 minutes on the clock. After 60 minutes, Floyd Samba fired home Ben Wilkinson's team second goal. In the 65th minute, Kaden Braithwaite scored the last goal of the match.

        Thanks to this result, Manchester City are through to the next round of the competition. In relation to forthcoming league matches, Ben Wilkinson's team will host Manchester United.
