Giravanz Kitakyushu triumphed over Fagiano Okayama, 1-0, on Thursday, in a match relating of the J. League Cup. Both Kohei Masumoto's team and Takashi Kiyama's team held their first game in the competition.

In the 19th minute, Ryuki Hirahara scored Giravanz Kitakyushu's only goal of the game.
