        Adelaide United Secures Victory in Thrilling Match Against Wellington Phoenix

        Adelaide United triumphed over Wellington Phoenix in a close win on Friday, 3-2, in a game relating to matchweek 27. Coming into the contest, Carl Veart's team came from four defeats, and Giancarlo Italiano's team came from a defeat.

        The first goal was scored by Panagiotis Kikianis after eight minutes. With 12 minutes on the clock, Stefan Mauk fired home Adelaide United second goal. In the 31st minute, Kosta Barbarouses fired home for Wellington Phoenix. In the 35th minute, Isaac Hughes scored the second goal for Giancarlo Italiano's team.

        Archie Goodwin scored the winning goal in the closing stages of the game.

        After the result Adelaide United are 7th in the table, with 37 points, while Wellington Phoenix sit 11th place, with 24 points. In the next fixture, Carl Veart's team visit Brisbane Roar. Meanwhile, Giancarlo Italiano's team will play away against Brisbane Roar.
