Club Brugge beat Union St. Gilloise in a close win on Sunday, 1-2, in a match relating to the Final of the Belgium Supercup. Both Sébastien Pocognoli's team and Nicky Hayen's team held their first game in the competition.
The opening goal was scored by Franjo Ivanovic after 15 minutes. With 31 minutes on the clock, Christos Tzolis struck for Club Brugge, from the penalty spot. Hans Vanaken scored the winner with 45 minutes already played.
