      Grimsby Town Secures Victory Against Shrewsbury in EFL League Cup Clash

      Grimsby Town overcame Shrewsbury Town in a win on Tuesday, 3-1, in a match relating of the EFL League Cup. Both David Artell's team and Michael Appleton's team held their first game in the competition.

      Justin Amaluzor opened the score with 15 minutes on the clock. After 27 minutes, Jamie Walker wasted the chance to score.

      Grimsby Town scored their second goal of the game through Cameron Gardner, after 50 minutes. After 63 minutes, Tom Sang fired home for Shrewsbury Town. In stoppage time, Jaze Kabia wrapped things up, from the penalty spot. Jaze Kabia now on a scoring streak of 3 consecutive games.

      Thanks to this result, Grimsby Town are through to the next round of the competition. In relation to forthcoming league matches, David Artell's team will play at home against Manchester United.
