      Accrington Stanley Advances in EFL League Cup, Defeating Peterborough United

      Accrington Stanley edged out Peterborough United in a close win on Tuesday, 2-1, in a match relating of the EFL League Cup. Both John Doolan's team and Darren Ferguson's team held their first game in the competition.

      The first goal of the game was scored by Alex Henderson, early in the game. With 25 minutes on the clock, Kelsey Mooney struck the second goal for Accrington Stanley.

      Archie Collins netted the last goal after 79 minutes.

      Thanks to this result, Accrington Stanley are through to the next round of the competition. In the next fixture, John Doolan's team will host Doncaster Rovers.
