      Doncaster Rovers Advance in EFL League Cup, Overcoming Accrington Stanley

      Doncaster Rovers edged out Accrington Stanley in a win on Tuesday, 0-2, in a match relating of the EFL League Cup.

      The first-half ended with a goalless draw.

      With 71 minutes on the clock, Accrington Stanley saw Josh Woods get sent off due to accumulation of yellows. The opening goal was scored by Owen Bailey after 75 minutes, from a corner. Ben Close netted the last goal in the 82nd minute with a right-foot strike from outside the penalty box.

      With this result, Doncaster Rovers are through to the next round of the competition. With regard to the next fixture, Grant McCann's team will play away against Tottenham.
