With young Portuguese international Diego Moreira in the starting lineup, Strasbourg?the "sensation" of the league currently in fifth place and just one win away from reaching the Champions League spots?managed to balance the match. At various times during the game, they even threatened to score first, but inefficiency was the main theme of the match.

Neither Monaco?who had more shots and were more capable in attack?nor Strasbourg were able to break the deadlock, leaving everything open in the battle for Champions League qualifying spots.

It is worth noting that Paulo Fonseca's Lyon plays this Sunday and could pull away from Strasbourg and catch up to Monaco.
