Junior Barranquilla and Once Caldas drew 2-2 in a match on Wednesday, in a match relating to the quarter-finals of the Liga Colombiana Apertura. Alfredo Arias's team beat Hernan Herrera's team, 1-0, in the first leg of the tie.
In the 15th minute, Pipe Gómez opened the scoring for Once Caldas. Shortly before the interval, Lucas Monzón fired home for Junior Barranquilla.
Alfredo Arias's team scored their second goal of the game through Cristian Barrios, after 66 minutes. With this goal, Cristian Barrios recorded his five goal of the current campaign. In a very unlucky moment, Lucas Monzón scored an own-goal with 85 minutes on the clock. In time added on, Jesús Rivas saw a red card after receiving his second yellow in the final minutes of the game, Dayro Moreno had a golden chance to score but missed the penalty.
Thanks to this result, Junior Barranquilla are through to the next round of the competition. With regard to the next fixture, Alfredo Arias's team visit Santa Fe.
