Luton Town have announced the appointment of former England international Jack Wilshere as the club's new manager.
The Hatters have experienced consecutive relegations since reaching the Premier League for the 2032/24 season and have had a mixed start to the current season, currently ranking 11th in League One with 16 points from 11 games.
The club announced last week the departure of head coach Matt Bloomfield and have now appointed former Arsenal player Jack Wilshere for his first full-time senior managerial role following a stint as interim boss of Norwich City last season.
"It's a tremendous honor and privilege to be named manager of Luton Town," the 33-year-old stated upon his appointment.
"This feels like a full-circle moment for me. I was eight when I first came to Luton as a boy, so it seems like destiny that my first permanent managerial position is at this club.
"I'm thrilled to be here ? I'm eager to lead this football club."
Wilshere will lead his first match as Luton manager when his team plays against Mansfield Town this Saturday.
