      KR beat Keflavik in close encounter

      KR edged out Keflavik, 3-2, on Sunday, on matchday one. Both Óskar Thorvaldsson's team and Haraldur Gudmundsson's team held their first game in the competition. Stefan Ljubicic with a superb display.

      The first goal was scored by Arnor Traustason with six minutes on the clock.

      After 55 minutes, Stefan Ljubicic struck for Keflavik. In the 79th minute, forward scored the second goal for Haraldur Gudmundsson's team. In the closing stages of the game, Stefán Geirsson fired home KR second goal. After 88 minutes, Alexander Palmason netted the final goal of the game.
