Lyon has invested in Czech football talent to offset its departures in the offensive sector and announced on Monday the signing of Pavel Sulc.
According to the French media, the Gaulish club paid a fixed 7.5 million euros, with the possibility of an additional 2.5 million euros upon achieving certain milestones and 15 percent of the profit from a future sale.
Pavel Sulc, 24, has been a standout at Viktoria Plzen over the past seasons. The offensive midfielder/forward scored 42 goals and provided 23 assists in 102 games over the last two years. In the current season, he already had one goal and three assists in two games for Plzen.
The Czech talent has also played for other clubs in the country and has represented the national team in 14 matches, including participation in the European Championship.
The new reinforcement arrives to fill the gaps left in this transfer window by players such as Rayan Cherki and Thiago Almada.
