      Newcastle Targets PSG Forward Ramos

PSG's Gonçalo Ramos is reportedly being considered by Newcastle as a potential replacement for the departing striker Alexander Isak.

According to the Daily Mail, the Magpies are exploring their options as they anticipate losing Benjamin Sesko to Manchester United, and are also preparing for the likely exit of Isak.

Premier League champions Liverpool have been actively pursuing the Swedish striker during this summer's transfer window, and Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has disclosed that the Magpies turned down an offer from the Reds last week.

While Liverpool continues to show strong interest in the Swede, reports also indicate that PSG is keen on acquiring Isak and might propose Ramos as part of a transaction valued at up to €180 million.

Newcastle’s interest in Gonçalo Ramos dates back to his time with Benfica. In 2023, the Magpies reportedly made a €60 million offer, which was rejected as insufficient by the Lisbon club.

Ramos later moved to PSG on an initial loan with an obligatory purchase clause, in a deal valued at €65 million plus €15 million in performance-related bonuses.

When queried about Ramos, Howe has been reserved, stating merely that Newcastle are evaluating several options.

PSG, on the other hand, are not expected to release the striker for less than €60–80 million.
