The RD Congo national team announced its World Cup squad on Monday (18), with the African side set to compete in Group K.
Coach Sébastien Desabre named 26 players, including several familiar names. In defense, Wan-Bissaka and Axel Tuanzebe, both former United players, made the final list. Gael Kakuta, a former Chelsea player, and Yoane Wissa, who has dealt with injuries this season while wearing the Newcastle shirt, are also included.
The African team will open its World Cup campaign against Portugal on June 17. Group K also includes Colombia and Uzbekistan.
