Rogers opened the scoring with a stunning curling strike into the top corner just before half-time, leaving United goalkeeper Senne Lammens rooted to the spot.
Manchester United responded immediately before the break, though, as Matheus Cunha capitalized on a rare error from Matty Cash to fire in a well-placed finish, leveling the scores and briefly silencing the Villa fans.
But Rogers wasn?t finished. Showing excellent movement and composure, he danced past United defender Leny Yoro before curling another exquisite strike past Lammens to restore Villa?s lead and ultimately secure all three points.
Despite not always being at their fluent best, Villa showed resilience and clinical finishing when it mattered, moving within three points of league leaders Arsenal. United, meanwhile, faces a challenging period ahead as injuries continue to bite and their squad is stretched thin.
