Sporting defeated Vitória SC, 3x0, on Saturday, on to matchday 12 of the Primeira Liga. To this matchday, Rúben Amorim's team came from a defeat, and Moreno's team came from three wins.
With 26 minutes on the clock, Vitória SC saw Afonso Freitas get sent off due to accumulation of yellows. The first goal of the game was scored by Pedro Porro, through a header, after 34 minutes. With 40 minutes on the clock, Hidemasa Morita doubled the lead for Sporting, from a corner.
Marcus Edwards netted the last goal in the 55th minute with a left-foot strike from outside the penalty box.
After the result Sporting are 4th in the table, with 22 points, while Vitória SC sit 6th place, with 20 points. In relation to forthcoming league matches, the leões will play away against FC Famalicão, while Moreno's team will host Marítimo.
