      Galway United lose out to Dundalk

      Dundalk overcame Galway United, 2-1, on Friday, on matchweek 12. Coming into the contest, Ciarán Kilduff's team came from a draw, and John Caulfield's team came from two wins. Declan McDaid runned the show.

      The first-half ended with a goalless draw.

      The opening goal was scored by Declan McDaid after 81 minutes. With 85 minutes on the clock, midfielder struck the second goal for Dundalk. Stephen Walsh netted the last goal in the closing stages of the game.

      After the result Dundalk are 3rd in the table, with 21 points, while Galway United sit 6th place, with 14 points. With regard to the next fixture, Ciarán Kilduff's team visit Sligo Rovers. Meanwhile, John Caulfield's team will play away against Waterford.
