Torreense overcame Racing Power FC, 2-1, on Sunday, relating to matchweek 16 of the Portuguese Women´s League. To this matchweek, Gonçalo Nunes's team came from a defeat, and Albano Oliveira's team came from a win. Janaina Weimer made a tremendous game.
The first goal of the game was scored by Janaina Weimer, through a header inside the penalty area, with 15 minutes on the clock.
After the break, Torreense increased their lead with a goal from forward from the penalty spot. Motunrayo Ezekiel netted the last goal in the 51st minute with a right-foot strike inside the penalty box.
After the result Torreense are 3rd in the table, with 28 points, while Racing Power FC sit 7th place, with 17 points. In the next fixture, Gonçalo Nunes's team will play away against Vitória SC, whilst Albano Oliveira's team will play at home against SC Braga.
