Lens triumphed over Brest, 1-3, on Sunday, on to matchday 30 of the Ligue 1. Coming into the contest, Éric Roy's team came from a draw, and Will Still's team came from a defeat.
The first goal was scored by Pierre Lees-Melou after 13 minutes, with a right-foot shot. After 17 minutes, Goduine Koyalipou fired home for Lens, through a header inside the penalty area. With 45 minutes already played, Abdoulaye Ndiaye left the game early after seeing a red card. Shortly before the interval, Neil El Aynaoui scored the second goal for Will Still's team, from the penalty spot. Neil El Aynaoui reaching the landmark of five goals for the season.
In the closing stages of the game, Wesley Said scored the last goal of the match, with a left-foot strike inside the penalty box.
After the result Lens are 8th in the table, with 45 points, while Brest sit 9th place, with 44 points. With regard to the next fixture, Will Still's team will play at home against Auxerre, whilst Éric Roy's team will play away against Marseille.
