Rasmus Højlund, the 23-year-old striker, has signed permanently for Napoli after spending one season on loan from Manchester United.
"Rasmus Hojlund has signed a permanent contract with Naples. Everyone at the club wishes Rasmus the very best for the future," the English club confirmed on social media.
According to the international press, the deal was completed for 44 million euros, the value of the purchase obligation agreed at the time of the loan, plus the six million paid for the temporary transfer of the player.
The Danish international made his professional debut with FC Kobenhavn, and also played for Sturm Graz and Atalanta, before joining the Red Devils in 2023/24 in a transfer worth 80 million euros.
After two seasons at Old Trafford without establishing himself, the striker was loaned to the Italian side. For the English club, he made 95 appearances, scored 26 goals and provided four assists, and won the FA Cup in his debut season.
Already with Napoli, the young striker enjoyed the best season of his career, scoring 17 goals and registering six assists in 44 matches for the Azzurri, helping the club win the Italian Super Cup against Bologna by 2-0.
