The SC Braga has officially signed Kassidy Banks, a 22-year-old American defender, coming from the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, a team from the U.S. college championships.
Regarded as a player with a strong physical presence and notable defensive skills, Banks is seen by the club from Minho as a reinforcement with great potential for progression.
In her first statements as a player of the team, the American expressed her excitement about the new chapter. «Feeling the interest of SC Braga was very positive for me and I could not pass up this opportunity. I know I have come to a great Club and I am very excited,» she said.
Described as an intense defender in one-on-one situations and with strong communication on the field, Kassidy also highlighted the experience of joining European football.
«SC Braga is a fantastic club. The atmosphere around the team is wonderful, all the players and staff have been helping me integrate from the first moment. The football here is different, there are many challenges. It is a challenge and it will help me grow as a player day by day.»
Kassidy Banks is already working under the orders of Marwin Bolz, coach of the women's team, who is preparing for the first leg of the second round of the UEFA Women?s Europa Cup, against RSC Anderlecht.
