Marcos Senesi was officially announced on Wednesday as a new signing for Tottenham. The Argentine centre-back leaves Bournemouth on a free transfer after four seasons.
“From the very first moment Spurs showed interest, I wanted to be part of the project, the player said in comments to the London club's official channels.
Senesi arrived in English football in 2022/23, coming from Feyenoord. His spell in the Netherlands had been his first experience outside Argentina.
In the recently completed season, the defender was one of Andoni Iraola's most-used players, making 39 appearances and helping the team finish sixth in the Premier League, a position that secured qualification for the Europa League.
Roberto De Zerbi also commented on the arrival of Spurs' new number 5: “His experience, quality on the ball and competitiveness will make us stronger defensively and give us more flexibility in our system.
Tottenham remain active in the transfer market, after already announcing the signing of Andy Robertson and the contract extension of Ben Davies, one of the longest-serving players at the London club.
