Olimpia triumphed over Recoleta in a close win on Friday, 3-2, in a game related to matchweek 21 of Liga Paraguaia Apertura. In this competition, both teams came from a defeat.

After 51 minutes, Giuseppe Guggiari fired home for Recoleta. In the 60th minute, Adrián Alcaraz fired home Olimpia second goal, from the penalty spot. With 67 minutes on the clock, Allan Wlk scored the second goal for Jorge González's team. In the closing stages of the game, Hugo Sandoval netted the final goal of the game.
After the result Olimpia are 1st in the table, with 43 points, while Recoleta sit 8th place, with 25 points. Next up, Pablo Sánchez's team visit Sportivo Luqueño, whilst Jorge González's team will play at home against Guaraní.
