Thomas Frank Fired by Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur have fired manager Thomas Frank following Tuesday night's home loss to Newcastle United.

Spurs have yet to secure a Premier League win since the beginning of 2026, drawing four and losing four out of eight matches, with the loss to Newcastle being the final straw for Frank.

Tottenham have now decided to terminate the former Brentford boss whose tenure at the club has been marred by injuries to key players.

In a statement, the club announced it has today 'taken the decision to make a change' while acknowledging its prior support for the head coach.

"However, results and performances have led the Board to conclude that a change at this point in the season is necessary," the statement continued.

"Throughout his time at the Club, Thomas has conducted himself with steadfast commitment, giving his all in his efforts to advance the Club. We would like to thank him for his service and wish him every success in his future endeavors."

Tottenham reportedly paid $6.7 million to bring Frank and his coaching team in to replace Ange Postecoglou last summer and are now set to pay compensation to the Dane who had initially signed a three-year contract.

In total, Frank managed 38 games at Spurs in all competitions with a record of 13 wins, 11 draws, and 14 losses.

The new manager stepping in will face a challenging first match as Tottenham is scheduled to host North London rivals and Premier League leaders Arsenal in their next match.
