Tunisia have moved quickly to replace Sabri Lamouchi by appointing experienced international coach Hervé Renard as the new manager of the North African side.
The Tunisian FA dismissed the former Nottingham Forest and Cardiff City boss after just one World Cup match, with the Eagles of Carthage losing 5-1 to Sweden amid reports of unrest in the camp.
They have now turned to Renard in an effort to salvage their tournament ahead of matches against Japan and the Netherlands.
The 57-year-old Renard has an impressive managerial CV, having coached around the world — including at Cambridge United.
The Frenchman also brings plenty of World Cup experience, having led Morocco and Saudi Arabia at the 2018 and 2022 tournaments, as well as taking charge of the French women's team at the 2023 World Cup.
Renard will take charge of his first match as Tunisia manager when they face Japan in their next Group F fixture.
