Chapecoense edged out Botafogo, 2-0, on Thursday, in a match relating of the Brazil Cup. Franclim Carvalho's team beat Fábio Matias's team, 1-0, in the first leg of the tie.
The first goal was scored by Marcinho after 20 minutes, with a right-foot strike from outside the penalty box. Yannick Bolasie netted the last goal with 45 minutes already played through a header inside the penalty area.
With this result, Chapecoense are into the next round of the competition.
