Australian defender Steph Catley has signed a new contract with Arsenal, extending her stay with the club.
The 32-year-old first joined the Gunners from Melbourne City in the summer of 2020 and has since made 165 appearances, scoring four goals.
"It feels amazing," Catley said after signing the new deal, which is reported to be a two-year contract by the BBC's Emma Sanders.
"There?s really nowhere else I?d rather be, and it?s always great to have that trust from the coach and the club. It was an absolute no-brainer.
"It?s been a journey with so many ups and downs. When I first came to the club, I think I got injured in my first training session, and then I was basically out for that whole season, dealing with different injuries and feeling very, very far from home. It was a completely new team, a new country, everything."
This season, Catley has made 27 appearances for Arsenal and was part of the Australia squad that finished runners-up in the Asian Cup in March.
