Wolverhampton overcame West Ham in a close win on Tuesday, 3-2, in a match relating of the EFL League Cup. Both Vítor Pereira's team and Graham Potter's team held their first game in the competition. Strand Larsen with a superb display.
The first goal was scored by Rodrigo Gomes shortly before the interval, from a penalty rebound. In the 43rd minute, Wolverhampton saw Hwang Hee-chan miss a penalty.
With 50 minutes on the clock, Tomás Soucek fired home for West Ham, through a header. After 63 minutes, Lucas Paquetá struck the second goal for Graham Potter's team, through a header inside the penalty area. In the 82nd minute, Strand Larsen fired home Vítor Pereira's team second goal, with a left-foot strike. Forward scored the winning goal after 84 minutes through a header inside the penalty box.
Thanks to this result, Wolverhampton are through to the next round of the competition. In relation to forthcoming league matches, Vítor Pereira's team will host Everton.
