Real Salt Lake edged out Austin FC in a close win on Saturday, 2x1, relating to matchday 3 of MLS. In this competition, both teams came from a defeat.
Alexander Ring opened the score with 24 minutes on the clock.
After 47 minutes, Austin FC saw Daniel Pereira get a straight red card in the 55th minute, Maikel Chang fired home for Real Salt Lake, laid on by Justin Meram. Andrew Brody scored the winning goal in the closing stages of the game.
