Pachuca defeat Monterrey

Pachuca defeated Monterrey, 3x0, on Saturday, in game related to round 16. Before this Matchday, Guillermo Almada's team came from two wins, and Víctor Vucetich's team came from a draw. Luis Chávez was on fire.

The opening goal was scored by Luis Chávez after 17 minutes. It was his 5th goal of the season.

After 71 minutes, Roberto De La Rosa fired home Pachuca's second goal, assisted by Fernando Navarro.  Luis Chávez netted the last goal in the 75th minute.

After the result Pachuca is 1st in the table, 38 points, while Monterrey occupy 7th place, 23 points. With regard to the next fixture, Pachuca's team will play away against Pumas. Meanwhile, Monterrey's team will play at home against Club Tijuana.
