Fiorentina beat Cremonese, 3x2, on Sunday, on to matchday 1 of the Serie A. Both Vincenzo Italiano's team and Massimiliano Alvini's team held their first game in the competition.
Giacomo Bonaventura opened the score after 16 minutes. In the 19th minute, David Okereke fired home for Cremonese, assisted by Paolo Ghiglione. After 34 minutes, Luka Jovic fired home Fiorentina second goal, assisted by Riccardo Sottil. Shortly before the interval, Gonzalo Escalante left the game early after seeing a red card.
With 68 minutes on the clock, Matteo Bianchetti scored the second goal for Massimiliano Alvini's team. In an unfortunate moment Ionut Radu scored an own goal with 90 minutes already on the clock.
After the result Fiorentina are 3rd in the table, with 3 points, while Cremonese sit 18th place, with 0 points. In relation to forthcoming league matches, Vincenzo Italiano's team will play away against Empoli. Meanwhile, Massimiliano Alvini's team visit Roma.
