Luzern lose out to Grasshoppers

Grasshoppers thumped Luzern, 0x4, on Saturday, on to matchday 2 of the Women Swiss League. In this competition, David Edmondson's team came from a draw, and Anne Pochert's team came from a defeat. Ella Ljustina was the main player.

After 54 minutes, Klaudia Lefeld opened the scoring for Grasshoppers. In the 67th minute, Ella Ljustina doubled the lead for Anne Pochert's team, from the penalty spot. With 90 minutes already on the clock, Grasshoppers increased their lead with a goal from Lillian Schertenleib. Ella Ljustina netted the last goal in the final minutes of the game.

After the result Grasshoppers are 5th in the table, with 3 points, while Luzern sit 8th place, with 1 point. Next up, Anne Pochert's team will play at home against FC Zurich. Meanwhile, David Edmondson's team will play away against FC Basel.
