FC Goa overcame Bengaluru in a close win on Thursday, 2-1, on to matchday 19 of the Indian Super League. To this matchday, Manolo Márquez's team came from a draw, and Gerard Zaragoza's team came from two wins.
The first goal was scored by Shivaldo Singh early in the game. In the 22nd minute, Odei Onaindia fired home for FC Goa.
After the break, Suresh Wangjam left the game early after seeing a red card. After seeing his second yellow card with 66 minutes on the clock, Jay Gupta was sent off and left Manolo Márquez's team with 10-man. Boris Thangjam netted the last goal in the 81st minute.
After the result FC Goa are 3rd in the table, with 36 points, while Bengaluru sit 8th place, with 21 points. In relation to forthcoming league matches, Manolo Márquez's team will play at home against Hyderabad FC, whilst Gerard Zaragoza's team will host Odisha FC.
